Watching Less Than Zero reminds me of back when my blog title was “Disappear Here” for the longest time
Most of my followers won’t even remember that even if they took notice of my blog titles
Most of you followed when I had the title “play a record, karl”, and I’ll probably go back to that eventually
I remember years ago when I used to babysit this kid in my neighborhood and her parents were like “when she goes to bed feel free towatch a DVD, go nuts, we have heaps” and one night I discovered Black Books and Arrested Development. Even though I was never asked to babysit again after that one night where I ate the entire pack of Tim Tams they left for me and also all the kid’s cheese sticks out of the fridge, that gig was probably one of the best things to ever happen to me. Try to imagine me without the influence of Gob and Bernard Black. You can’t.

Oh holy shit, 2 years ago today I was drowning in my own tears after the Lost series finale. Seems like a decade since that beautiful, horrible day. So many feeeeeeels
… We have to go back. Seriously, please? I’m not even ironically quoting it. We. Have. To. Go. Back.
I have come to some conclusions tonight:
1. I am a terrible student, and if I get anything higher than a credit on this assignment I really don’t deserve it and should be kicked in the face by my lecturer
2. Pretty much all the people I follow on Tumblr are infinitely cooler than me and I wish I could be friends with all of them
3. I’m totally going to try everything on the McDonald’s olympics menu even if my body shuts down and my organs fail

There’s a Paris ice cream thing? This is the thing about living in a small uni town, we get things in halves. They gave us a two-lane drive thru earlier in the year, but it’s not 24 hours. We’re getting a the olympics menu, but there’s no mention of the paris ice cream thing. I hope we get it. I’ll need a reward after I labour through that Barcelona omelette…

Everybody on my dash with their art history, and I’m just sitting here like “I draw cartoon doodles of movie characters in the margins of my lecture notebooks”
My earliest drawings were of robots (so many robots, you have no idea), Mr Bean, Ariel from The Little Mermaid, and multiple drawings of me seeing James and the Giant Peach at the cinema with my nan
And those were probably the best of my entire life so needless to say I don’t draw much anymore
There’s this one picture I drew of King Triton from The Little Mermaid when I was really little though where I included his nipples

If I had a dollar for every time I’ve gotten an hour into The Departed and gotten distracted or had to do something else, I’d have enough to buy all the Kit Kats in the vending machine
It’s not that I’ve never finished it (I’ve watched it start to finish maybe five times), but I know the first act like the back of my hand
The point is that it’s one of my favourite movies and I’m watching it today

How did I not realise until right this second that today in my Children’s Media lecture we’re going to talk about Red vs Blue?
And this is the week where my only friend in the lecture isn’t going so I’m going to be that lonely geek who sits alone and knows way to much about something that’s mentioned in passing

Currently dressed as a “sexy” Freddy Krueger for a college event. I have two goals for the night: give a guy a confusing and terrifying boner, and get so drunk that I freak out when I catch a glimpse of my reflection.
This is going to be a good night.
Avengers was just as good the third time around. Ugh, when the DVD is released you guys won’t see me for a month.
I’ll just be in my room, watching it over and over, crying over the ruin that my life has become, whispering softly, “Loki’s watery little eyes just overflowed and so did my heart”.
At this point, I don’t know how I have friends, let alone followers.
I just came back from seeing Avengers for a second time and I’ve gotta say that it’s kind of insane how much I adore it
Seriously, I was nearly in tears I was enjoying it so much
And every time Loki came onscreen I made a little squeaking sound
I’d like to apologise to everyone who has and will see this movie with me for my behaviour
But then again you had to know what you were getting yourself into
So when I got into the shower the radio in the bathroom was playing Business Time, which was pretty rad and I danced as I was washing my hair and everything was groovy
And then Bangarang started playing and even though it’s a dumb song I was getting into it because sometimes I don’t completely hate dubstep, and from this experience I have a pro tip for you guys
PRO TIP: Don’t drop while you’re shaving your legs, you will cut your knee and it will bleed everywhere
